The highlight of August of course was Alyssa's birthday and baptism. She enjoyed a "campout" birthday party with friends. We roasted hotdogs and watched a movie outside (projected up onto the house). The kids all lay on the trampoline...it was like going to the drive-in theater only better! Then we camped out in a tent in the backyard. Everyone had a great time. Emily and a couple of friends helped out with the party and camped out as well.
Grandma and Grandpa were able to come for Alyssa's baptism. That just made the day even more special! Alyssa had asked them to speak at her baptism and they did a wonderful job. Other highlights from the baptism were Kaylee playing the piano, Cousin Annelise playing her violin, and Blake singing and playing the guitar. There was a wonderful spirit present as she made this important step in her life. We're so proud of her!
While Grandma and Grandpa were here we enjoyed a trip to the Mill City Museum and a trip to the beach for a little water skiing and tubing. We had a great time and are so glad they were able to come visit!
